quote•hapily Bundles Overview

Bundles are a powerful feature in quote•hapily that make it easy to sell the right products together at the right price.

There are two main parts to a Bundle: the Bundle Header and the Bundle Options.

Bundle Header

The Bundle Header is a standard HubSpot product. Sales reps can add it to any quote as long as the product is in the Price Book assigned to the quote.

The price set for the Bundle Header sets the "base price" for that bundle on a quote.

For details on managing the product prices in a Price Book, see Understanding Price Books in quote•hapily.

Bundle Options

Bundle Options are groups of products that make up the components of your bundle. The price of each of those products can be set independently of the price in any other Price Book.

On the Edit Bundle screen, we group your Bundle Options into Included Products Options and Add-on Product Options. Every bundle must have at least one Bundle Option — in either "Included Product Options" or "Add-on Product Options".

Included Product Options

When you add a bundle to a quote, one product from each Bundle Option under Included Products will automatically be added. While a sales rep can swap a product from any Included Bundle Option for another product in that option, it cannot be removed from the bundle.

By default, when you add products to an "Included" Bundle Option, the price will be set to zero since the product should be included in the price set for the Bundle Header.

Add-on Product Options

Add-on products are not added to a quote by default, but a sales rep may select them as they build the quote. Similar to "Included" Bundle Options, the price is set for Add-on products in each Bundle.

Adding Bundles to Quotes

When a Bundle Header is added to a quote, it is automatically expanded into its component products.

Included Product Options

The default product for each Included Product Option will automatically be added to the quote at the price and quantity configured.

Each default Included product can be swapped with any other product configured for that Bundle Option. When a new product is swapped into the quote, the price of that new product will be added to the quote.

Because the price of included products are factored into the price of the Bundle, the quantity for each line item can only be modified at the Bundle definition itself — not by the Sales Rep in the Quote Builder.

Add-on Product Options

The Sales Rep may choose to include products from the Add-on Product Options. When they click "Select Products," they'll see the list of products across all Add-on options.

Add-on Products are added to the cost of the bundle so that Sales Reps may adjust the quantities within the minimum/maximum boundaries set by the Admin in the Bundle definition. Add-on products may also take advantage of volume pricing.

Understanding Bundle Pricing

Bundle Header Product

The Unit Price will be set to the price from the Price Book.

In this example, the MacBook Air bundle will be priced at $1,099 when sold from the Standard Price Book and $879.20 from the Special Price Book. Note that it's also possible to set prices for any supported currency.

Products from Included Bundle Options

The Unit Price will be set to the amount the selected products add to the Bundle price — which will be $0 in many cases.

In this example, the "M3 8-core GPU" is the processor included by default, and its price is included in the price of the Bundle Header. The "M3 10-core GPU" costs $200 extra.

Products from Add-on Bundle Options

The Unit Price will be set to the price set for the product in the Bundle definition.

Below, the AppleCare product will be added to the quote with a price of $199. Also, note that AppleCare is only sold in bundles and not in any of the standard price books, which ensures that sales reps can't accidentally sell AppleCare as a separate SKU.

Bundles on the Deal

When a quote is published or signed, quote•hapily will replace the line items on the Deal with those from the quote. HubSpot doesn't natively support bundles but quote•hapily will ensure that your Deal and the Line Items on the deal reflect precisely what was accepted on your quote.
